Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica

On August 4th, Gidon Kremer and the orchestra "Kremerata Baltica" will perform in Ventspils!

Gidon Kremer has established and maintained a worldwide reputation as one of the most original and convincing artists of his generation. He has performed on nearly all major concert stages around the world and has collaborated with almost all the most renowned orchestras and conductors in Europe and North America over the past half-century.

Gidon Kremer has recorded and released more than 120 music albums. It can be said with confidence that no other internationally recognized soloist of such caliber has devoted as much effort to the performance and promotion of contemporary composers' works as Gidon Kremer. He performs on a violin made by Nicola Amati in 1641.

The Grammy Award-winning chamber orchestra "Kremerata Baltica," founded by Gidon Kremer in 1997, performs in the world's most prestigious concert halls and is considered one of the best chamber orchestras in the world.

The orchestra "Kremerata Baltica" has released more than 25 highly acclaimed music albums and given over 1500 concerts, performing in more than 50 different countries, 600 cities, and traveling almost all over the world, including Asia, Australia, North America, South America, and Europe. With its rich sound, energetic and joyful performances, the orchestra has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide.

At the closing concert of the Ventspils city festival, the chamber orchestra "Kremerata Baltica," together with its constant artistic director, the legendary violinist Gidon Kremer, will perform a specially curated program featuring music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Grażyna Bacewicz, and Franz Schubert.
