Celebrations, jazz stars and stage freedom at an impressive Renārs Lācis anniversary event! The concert features Renārs Lācis, Ventspils Big Band, Ventspils Chamber Orchestra, Riga Saxophone Quartet, Silvesteri Orchestra, Gerhard Ornig (Austria), Kārlis Lācis, Rick Feds, Kārlis Vanags, Dāvis Jurka, Anna Wibe, Rihards Goba, Ģirts Celmiņš, Gints Pabērzs, Aigars Meri, Sofija Rubin Hantere (Estonia), Laura Goba, Rebeka Rēķe, Gerda Timrota, Undīne Rolava, Denisa Dārzniece, etc.

“The Jazz Festival in Ventspils promises to be particularly rich and impressive. This year I am celebrating a round anniversary, so this concert will be a look back at what I have done in the first 50 years. Each of the guests holds a special place in my life, I have played with everyone, but I would like to say that they are not only colleagues, but also friends. The guests will perform original compositions and music that has stood the test of time, but, as always, the main thing will be the listener! In short, I can describe this concert in five words: joy, energy, rhythm, melody and harmony,” Renārs Lācis, the jubilee and the initiator of this tradition, describes the upcoming celebration.

The concert is organized by Ltd. “Kurzeme Philharmonic” with the support of Ventspils City Municipality and the State Cultural Capital Foundation.
