A Concert Story Dedicated to Raimonds Pauls’ 90th Anniversary
Maestro Raimonds Pauls has created such a diverse range of music that the scope of his creativity and versatility is nearly immeasurable. Listening to, experiencing, and performing his works, one can feel Pauls’ unmistakable touch – a unique sense of presence, heard in his signature keystrokes and resonating through generations of listeners and performers.
In this concert, the Latvian Radio Choir, the Latvian Radio Big Band, and Sinfonietta Rīga, conducted by Sigvards Kļava, along with pianists Matīss Žilinskis and Rihards Plešanovs, singers from Ventspils choirs, actor Artūrs Skrastiņš, and vocalist Daumants Kalniņš, will explore the many facets of the Maestro. Through his music, they will bring us closer to the composer, because undeniably, Raimonds Pauls is not just a man — he is an entire era in music, both in Latvia and beyond.
